I’m Patrick Harrison, CPA and founder of First Wave Accounting. I help business owners and individuals approach their accounting and tax obligations with clarity and confidence.
Why First Wave
Accounting support that is practical, responsive, and easy to understand.
I created First Wave to help clients stay on top of their obligations, make informed financial decisions, and feel confident that their accounting is being handled properly.
I have more than a decade of accounting and tax experience, including roles in public practice and as a tax manager for a private real estate investment company. I completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program and have worked with individuals, privately held corporations, partnerships, and investment structures across a wide range of tax and accounting matters.
I believe good accounting service should involve more than preparing forms and meeting deadlines. It should be built on clear communication, reliable advice, and a genuine understanding of each client’s goals.

How I help
Clear guidance for the financial side of your business.
My experience includes corporate and personal tax compliance, tax planning, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping oversight, GST/HST, payroll, and support with CRA reviews and audits. I particularly enjoy helping owner-managed businesses simplify their accounting systems and better understand the financial side of their operations.

Outside of work, I live in Coquitlam with my wife and our two young children. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and exploring the outdoors.
